Basswood is a light weight and strong plywood that is popular for its affordability and workability. The thin plywood may be stained, painted or varnished to represent other wood types. Mostly used in laser cutting, basswood can also be cut with a sharp blade.

As basswood is an organic material there are slight variations in colour, grain and dimensions of each sheet. Other imperfections may occur such as wood knots, however this does not deter from its usability. Please check thicknesses before laser cutting.
