Walnut is a hardwood timber that varies in colour but is usually brown/greyish with streaks of chocolate brown, black or pink. Walnut timber has a medium texture with a moderate natural lustre. The grain is tight and even with shallow open pores. This timber is most commonly used for decorative purposes such as plywood, veneers and even musical instruments.
